猫に遊んでもらう本 (Neko Ni Asonde Morau Hon) is a book about how to understand cats. When you have understood about your cats, then your cats will willingly play with you without being forced.
The book covers all aspects of cats, from their psychology, their natural habits, and even their languages. The use of cute hand-drawn illustrations made the book very interesting to read. The style is very anime (Japanese comic style/ manga), and very funny, too.
The prologue of the book brilliantly give hints to the readers about what substance they should expect from the contents of the book. The prologue contains 2 pages, one is a segment of a woman’s diary, the other is a segment of a cat’s diary.
The woman, whom is the owner of the cat, wrote about how she loves the cat, how she likes to hug the cat, how she likes to watch the cat played around and jumped, and how she likes to feel the touch of the cat on her feet when they slept together. On the other hand, the cat wrote how he hates it when the woman disturbed his sleep when she hugged him, and he hates it when the woman persuaded him to jump while his stomach was full, and many other things.
That’s why an owner of a cat should understand the mind of his/her cat. S/he should understand the cat’s psychology and its feelings.
That is what this book is all about.
Note: I’ve got this book from a friend. She bought the book at Kinokuniya, and gave it to me as a present, because she knew I like cats. That was very kind of her. Thanks, Rita Lim.
